| Treat yourself to an experience you will never forget Experience sailing as it was on this beautiful early 20th century Ketch. Enjoy breathtaking scenery, idyllic anchorages and visit picturesque ports and harbours on this fantastic traditional sailing ship. Take part and learn how to sail and navigate this grand vessel. We offer a variety of holidays onboard the Keewaydin from 1 day taster sessions to week long trips around the UK, Ireland and France. Teamwork is an essential part of the Keewaydin adventure. The Keewaydin has no mechanical aids, so everything from hoisting the sails, to using the oak tiller to steer this 100 ton vessel is done by hand. The team, made up of you and your new friends, work together to make the adventure happen. The crew will show you how to sail this 80ft long Ketch, which, with wide decks and solid bulwarks, is able to cope with any sea condition. The ship and all equipment is licenced and fully compliant with the Department of Trade and Industry codes of practice. |

| As if all this weren't enough, there is a wide variety of wildlife to be seen, including dolphins, porpoises, seals and many different types of seabirds. Once the days work is done and we have relaxed, it's time for bed. Beneath the deck there are a total of 16 berths in 7 cabins, which includes crew quarters, two w/c washrooms and a large open plan saloon and galley area. An oil-fired Rayburn makes the colder nights snug and pleasant. |
